Effectively Interacting
with People

Have you ever thought of the number of items that you could make with a paperclip?

Let’s see… a tie tack, hors d'oeuvre pick, fish hook, cuff link, nail pick, hole punch, screen pointer, bookmark, toothpick, lock pick, bag tie, ice pick; the list can be endless if you take the time to think about it. Isn’t it funny how that simple piece of wire – such an insignificant item – can have such a massive impact! Yes, the simple things in life can and do make a difference.

We spend millions of dollars in America today learning everything from investing on a shoestring to how to properly hang draperies. We read books, attend seminars, listen to audios, search online in hopes of grasping the one mind-shattering idea that will propel us closer to society’s demand for perfection. Despite the great intentions of all our undertakings, too often we fail in the most critical factor in life: how to effectively interact with people.

Regardless of how many degrees you have, or awards you win; nothing really matters if you cannot interact with people. You see, people make a difference in our lives and how we communicate with them – how we demonstrate to them that they do matter – well that is something that money cannot buy! How people see you and how you see people will determine whether you can look back on your life and realize, regardless of fame or riches, that you did make a difference.
