Habits have a way of impacting our lives. That impact can be either bad or good depending upon the circumstance and the individual or individuals involved. From a bad perspective, we get into a routine of doing things that prevent us from being our best. Looking from a good perspective, we get into a routine of doing things that bring out the very best we have to offer. The decision we must make is simple: “Which habit do we desire to embody, good or bad?”
This is the fourth HABIT that can have a positive impact on your business.
Habit #4: Build your personal brand in the community. As a business leader/owner or principal, it is imperative that clients, your team and the community at large see your activity. This can be accomplished via participation in local community events, active membership in civic organizations, association and participation in public benefit organizations or through various media such as advertising to create an awareness of your business and you.
People most often will not support a business they do not know or one that has no impact within the community. The more the community recognizes you and your company name, the greater your potential for support. Awareness is a critical foundational step to effective brand building, which is necessary for success.
