Does Great Leadership Matter?

Great leadership overcomes good leadership by the nature of the effort the great leader provides. Too often many feel that talent alone will carry the burden of results to a responsible end.

Regretfully it settles on lack of expected effort to the individual task that prohibits maximum objectives to be reached. Thus, talent alone provides little unless coupled with nothing short of 110% effort to bring about a noble result. It is like being a street sweeper. You can go through the motions of performing your role or you can devote yourself to becoming the most noble street sweeper in the world. Then, give it all you have so that those who follow your work comment on the excellence in what has been produced.

Great leaders do more than going through the motions. They understand the demands of excellence and then strive to insure that their performance resembles the clarity that excellence of effort provides.
